Abstract

The invention relates to a merchant vessel comprising a new cargo system for goods transported via trailers, which cargo system enables the maximum exploitation of the vessel's capacity for the parking of trailers and lesser entry and exit duration of these last from the vessel. Said cargo system comprises the cage (3) placed onto the moving distribution platform (2) which can horizontally move ontotracks as well as vertically with the assistance of the elevators (1, 8). Said vessel is suitable for the transport of goods conveyed via trailers with no need of tractors to be connected thereto; furthermore, it is able to ensure the cooling of goods transported via trailers either directly through electrically-fed trailers-refrigerators or indirectly through storage of goods into special cooling logistics spaces (10), to transport vehicles - special or not - with external dimensions 1 x 18 x 5,5 metres and to allow the entry and exit of a train for the loading and unloading of the merchandise too.
