Abstract

The present invention concerns the development of a new technology of liquid nanomaterials such as nanodispersions and the entrapment therein of substances owing a plant protecting activity. The agrochemical industry has shown in recent years a strong interest in replacing conventional formulations of phytoprotective substances based on the modern technology of microencapsulation and nanodiaspersion. From the production of a biocide to the final stage of its application, the critical intermediate stage of standardization determines the effectiveness of the product. The proposed formulations are nanodiaspersions of micro and nano-emulsion type, composed of safe, non-toxic materials such as biocompatible oils as dispersant, safe nonionic surfactant compounds as stabilizers and mixtures of water with hydrophilic alcohols as a dispersed phase. For the preparation of the biocompatible nanodiaspersions oils such as lemon oil terpenes, or limonene, or isopropyl fatty acids are used, in a proportion of to 80 wt% of the nanodiaspersions. The surfactant is an ester of sorbitan with fatty acids (Span) or a polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate (Tween 20 or Tween 40 or Tween 80 or Tween 100) or mixtures thereof, in a proportion of 20 to 40 wt% of the nanodiaspersions. Finally, the dispersed phase consists of an aqueous solution of glycerol or polyethylene glycol in a ratio of 1 to 10 wt% of the nanodiaspersions. The proposed systems of the invention are used to encapsulate natural pyrethrin (mixtures of two to six of the substances: Pyrethrin I and II, Cinerin I and II, Jasmolin I and II) in a ratio of 1 to 5 wt% of the nanodiaspersions.
