Abstract

Η μέθοδος μεταφοράς μηνυμάτων που αφορούν την τρέχουσα κατάσταση του γραφικού περιβάλλοντος της εφαρμογής λογισμικού σε τερματικές συσκευές, αποτελείται από τουλάχιστον μία εφαρμογή (1), το μεταφορέα μηνύματος (2) και τουλάχιστον μία εφαρμογή τρίτου τύπου (3) του σχήματος 1. Οι εφαρμογές τύπου (1) και οι εφαρμογές "τρίτου" τύπου (3) του σχήματος 1, επικοινωνούν με το μεταφορέα μηνύματος (2) με τη χρήση του πρωτοκόλλου TCP/IP είτε τοπικά είτε απομακρυσμένα. Η μέθοδος που αναφέρεται παραπάνω μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί από ειδικούς, π.χ. προγραμματιστές, ώστε να αναπτυχθεί σαν μια εξωτερική ή εσωτερική βιβλιοθήκη λογισμικού πάνω στις εφαρμογές (1) του σχήματος 1 ή σα "Διεπαφή Προγραμματισμού Εφαρμογών" (API) και να εφαρμοστεί πρακτικά σε τερματικές συσκευές που περιλαμβάνουν επιμέρους συσκευές οθόνης και ηχείων, ακόμα και μικροφώνου ή και κάμερας. Επίσης, εφαρμογές "τρίτου" τύπου (3) στο σχήμα I, όπως βοηθητικές εφαρμογές για εξυπηρέτηση ατόμων με ειδικές ανάγκες (π.χ. αναγνώστης οθόνης, εφαρμογές που αυξομειώνουν τη γραμματοσειρά και το μέγεθος των γραφικών αντικειμένων των εκτελέσιμων εφαρμογών) και εφαρμογές που αξιολογούν το σχεδιασμό του γραφικού περιβάλλοντος της εφαρμογής (1), μπορούν να συνδεθούν με το πρωτόκολλο επικοινωνίας TCP/IP τοπικά ή απομακρυσμένα με το μεταφορέα μηνύματος (2).
