Abstract
Novelty: Interconnectable hexagonal plant trays suited for planting surfaces. Constitution: One low-weight and high-durability hexagon-like plastic plant tray (A) optionally filled also with other material such as sand, pebble and water, and two types of plastic sidewall connectors (B, Γ). In in-series arranged plant trays, the peripheral wall (α2) of these last is outwardly inclined to facilitate interconnection. The one lip of the plant tray is curved (configuration α3) so that the sidewall connector (B) can be in position to unify the plant trays in case that these last are arranged in three to form a three-plant tray construction having the foregoing configuration (α3) in the centre. An extra connector (Γ) is added in case that interconnected plant trays are more than three. The positioning level of the plant tray (A) is defined by conical protuberances whereon said plant tray is seated. Three cavities (α4) and a hole (α1) are configurated in the interior of the plant tray. The connector (B) hason top and at its centre an aperture (β1) enabling the passage of wires or thin self-acting irrigation tubes. Purpose: Creation of planted surfaces, use of singe or plural plant trays by mere positioning and fastening thereof onto a unified surface operating as mosaics in the architectural landscape design.
