Abstract

The unit for decomposition and separation of water (H2O) is a device which aims at reducing fuel consumption in an engine and reducing the emission of pollutants. All the advantages of the unit for decomposition and separation of water (H2O) are achieved by enriching the available fuel of the engine only with pure hydrogen, being now separated from oxygen, the production of which is effected by the operation of the specific invention in a procedure known as electrolysis-decomposition of water (H2O) to its gaseous constituents, hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2). Gaseous hydrogen is guided to the combustion chamber of the engine via a gas conduit (air input of the engine), where it is mixed with the fuel (gasoline, diesel fuel, liquefied petroleum gas) and acts as a catalyst for the combustion. The enrichment of the mixture with hydrogen allows an almost complete combustion of the fuels, thereby reducing the amount of pollutants emitted to the environment.
