Abstract

Subject: bar codes scanning system for packaged products sold at retail sales points. It is a simple and semi-automated selling system the subsidiary systems of which are ergonomically designed to perform separate operations (processes) and suppress dead times and queues of buyers. According to the presented herein arrangement, the scanning process of barcodes is separated from the payment process via self-scanning devices used -in an easy manner- by the clients themselves before the placement of the bought products into bags. Said system is stationarily installed and ergonomically designed so as to take the least possible room; easy scanning of products; reduction of time needed for the scanning and packaging of each product separately.
