Abstract

Subject: a self-acting power-generating ship fully exploiting the nature’s profuse goods (sun, wind, sea) for generating and storing up electric power into great batteries serving for storing energy, supplying energy to the ship-moving electromotor and converting the same wind generators into propelling engines. In case of shortage or insufficient supply or damage of the power-collecting systems, diesel- or steam-operated engines are provided to complete -when needed- the batteries or fill-up these last with power or to be connected via reducers to the central shaft in order to conduct the ship in nearby distances when electric motion is not working. Similar electromotors exist in submarines when these last are moving under the sea surface. Advantage: compared to power-operated ships of the second world war (i.e. ships driven by electric power directly derived from steam turbine electromotors moving the ship via a big rotor connected to the propeller’s shaft), motion is transmitted to the rotor of the propeller’s shaft by great batteries 8 as depicted in attached figure.
