Abstract

Η συσκευή κατάσβεσης πυρκαγιών αποτελείται από μια βάση από πυρίμαχο υλικό (1) μέσα στην οποία είναι τυλιγμένο ένα πυρίμαχο πανί (2). Το μήκος και πλάτος του πανιού θα εξαρτάται από τους ελιγμούς και το μέγεθος του φορτίου που μπορεί να σηκώσει το εκάστοτε αεροσκάφος. Το αεροσκάφος θα πηγαίνει πάνω από τη φωτιά και θα κατεβάζει την άκρη του πανιού (2) προς το έδαφος, τοποθετώντας την στο τέλος του μετώπου της φωτιάς. Στην άκρη του πανιού (2) η οποία εξέχει από τη βάση (1) έχουν προσαρμοστεί βαρίδια (3) για να αναγκάζουν το πανί να τείνει προς το έδαφος. Όταν η άκρη του πανιού (2) αγγίξει το έδαφος, τότε το αεροσκάφος θα κατευθύνεται στον αέρα παράλληλα με το μέτωπο της φωτιάς, με σκοπό να το καλύψει με το πυρίμαχο πανί. Όταν εξαντληθεί το μήκος του πυρίμαχου πανιού (2) τότε το αεροσκάφος, θα ρίχνει στο έδαφος και θα αφήνει εκεί και τη βάση του πανιού (1). Πλεονέκτημα αυτής της εφεύρεσης είναι ότι δίνει τη δυνατότητα στις δυνάμεις πυρόσβεσης να επιχειρούν είτε είναι μέρα είτε είναι βράδυ. Ένας άλλος τρόπος που θα μπορούσε να χρησιμοποιηθεί το σύστημα κατάσβεσης πυρκαγιάς, είναι να τοποθετείται το πυρίμαχο πανί με τέτοιο τρόπο ώστε να δημιουργεί αντιπυρικές ζώνες, δηλαδή κάθετα με το μέτωπο της φωτιάς. Τέλος ένα άλλο βασικό πλεονέκτημα είναι ότι το συγκεκριμένο σύστημα κατάσβεσης πυρκαγιάς έχει μεγαλύτερη ακρίβεια από τις ρίψεις νερού, μιας και το αεροσκάφος μπορεί να κατευθύνει την αρχή του πυρίμαχου πανιού με μεγάλη ακρίβεια στο σημείο του μετώπου της φωτιάς.
