Abstract
A device suitable for the continuous measurement of the pressure in the inner of the eye (100) is described.The same device during this measurement can evaluate the ocular rigidity, i.e. the rate of pressure increase to the displaced volume (300) of aqueous humor.The pressure variation can then be used for the calculation of the blood flow.The device is pressed on the surface of the cornea (101) and has an optoelectronic deformation sensor for measuring the surface (110) which is at any time in contact with the cornea (101).The force required for the compression of the cornea is measured by means of a force sensor (200) on which the optoelectronic part of the device is suspended.A mathematical method for the analysis of the results is also described.
