Abstract

An electronic fuse of electric supply, wherein the circuitry of the electric components is shown in the figures and ensures the following. All the fuses interrupt the electric supply when the supplied grid voltage is outside the predetermined and pre-set limits, as well as in cases of continual slight interruptions of the grid. When the grid voltage is fully restored in the normal range, then the fuses automatically restore the electric supply. By this way sensitive loads are protected (e. g. motor, electronic devices). The electric supply to a branch supplied by a fuse is interrupted when in this branch an increase current consumption is observed, beyond the predefined and preset nominal value, as well as in case of leakage (electric shock protection). In this case the electric supply is automatically restored when the causes of the interruption are eliminated. If these causes are permanent, then after a predefined number of unsuccessful attempts the fuse of the branch remains in permanent interruption, providing at the same time a visual signal. ; After the intervention and restoration of the causes (damages), the fuse automatically restores the electric supply. An audio signal may also be associated with the permanent interruptions, as well as a telephone alarm in case of unsupervised electric installations. If there is a grid voltage interruption, after the restoration of the voltage, the electronic fuses of the branches automatically restore the electric supply. In case of three-phase supply of a machine, by the use of the electronic fuses in each phase, the normal operation of the machine is ensured, since if a phase exhibits a problem, then all three phases are interrupted, thereby protecting the machines against serious damage. In this case also, the electric supply is automatically restored, when the causes of the interruption are eliminated.
