Abstract

The invention relates to a system designed for the mechanical sorting and separation of papers from nylon, plastics or the like in existing urban refuse treatment plants where sorting were so far manually and unreliably performed. Sorting is achieved on the basis of the specific weight and characteristics of the material to be sorted out. The heat shrinkage method in use allows the mechanical separation of the aforementioned materials with great reliability since nylon and plastics cannot escape from the first cyclone. The advantage of the invention is that in contrast to the so far manual sorting method, the final products are of high quality and recyclable by respective industries at lower cost.
