Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and a mechanism for the twist straightening of a wire or concrete bar 1 via the rollers of a rotor. According to the invention, the wire is conducted from the rotor having the rollers 5 to the straightening unit where the twist of the wire or concrete bar is modified by the rotor. The straightening unit is composed of the rollers 2 rotating with adequate velocity so as to attract the wire or the concrete bar 1 from the rotor, properly inclined with respect to the axis of the wire, pressed with suitable force applied to the wire or the concrete bar so as to change, via the friction of their motion, the twist of the wire or concrete bar 1. The twist of the wire or concrete bar 1 may be increased, reduced, nullified, or inversed provided that the number of rollers suffices to impose the required moment on the wire or the concrete bar.
