Abstract

The invention relates to a folding keel for sailing-boats, which keel is composed of the main part, the keel (1), the lever-like arms, the foils (2), the hydraulic system (3) and the automation system. The main characteristic part is the folding keel having the following advantages. During grounding, the hydraulic mechanism is self-actuated so that the sticking danger is abolished. It permits sailing in shallow seas, grounding in marines or sandy shores where other ships of the same size can not approach. For better maintenance, the whole mechanism is automatically protected by a watertight casing.
