Abstract
Το μεταβλητό έκκεντρο αποτελείται βασικά από δύο τμήματα το σταθερό τμήμα και το κινητό τμήμα.Οι άξονες συμμετρίας των δύο τμημάτων έχουν την δυνατότητα να αποκλίνουν κατά μίαν επιθυμητή γωνία.Αμφότερα τα τμήματα είναι κατάλληλα διαμορφωμένα ούτως ώστε να συνεργάζονται απολύτως μεταξύ τους και να επιτρέπουν στο έκκεντρο νε λειτουργεί είτε με το σταθερό τμήμα μόνον είτε με τον συνδυασμό και των δύο τμημάτων.Η συνεργασία των τμημάτων, όπως πραγματοποιείται, επιτρέπει την μεταβολή του βυθίσματος της αντιστοίχου βαλβίδας.Η συνεργασία αυτή επιτρέπει επίσης μεταβολή στο άνοιγμα - κλείσιμο της βαλβίδας ή/και στο χρονισμό της εις τρόπον ώστε να βελτιώνει την λειτουργία της μηχανής εσωτερικής καύσεως.Το κινητό μέρος μπορεί να κινείται είτε με μηχανικό, είτε με υδραυλικό μέσον είτε με άλλον τρόπο, ενώ χρησιμοποιούνται διάφορα συστήματα επαναφοράς και ασφάλισης.Η παρούσα εφεύρεση μπορεί να εφαρμοσθεί σε όλους τους τύπους εμβολοφόρων μηχανών εσωτερικής καύσεως χωρίς καμμιά μετατροπή της μηχανής.ωThe variable cam basically consists of two parts, the fixed part and the movable part.
