Η εφεύρεση αναφέρεται σε μέ?οδο δρομολογήσεως (ήτοι χαράξεως της πορείας του οχήματος προς κα?ορισμένο στόχο), πλοηγήσεως (ήτοι ευρέσεως και επιβεβαιώσεως της ?έσεως του οχήματος κά?ε στιγμή επί του οδικού δικτύου και κα?οδηγήσεως του οδηγού για την πορεία και τους χειρισμούς που πρέπει να ακολου?ήσει), προστασίας (ήτοι ελέγχου της καταστάσεως του οχήματος και της φυσικής καταστάσεως του οδηγού, ελέγχου των συν?ηκών οδηγήσεως και ορ?ότητος των εκτελουμένων χειρισμών και ειδοποιήσεως ή επεμβάσεως σε περίπτωση κινδύνου) και πληροφορήσεως (ήτοι παροχής πληροφοριών πάσης φύσεως οι οποίες ενδιαφέρουν τον οδηγό κατά την κίνηση του), η οποία χαρακτηρίζεται από την παροχή προς τον οδηγό ενός πλή?ους υπηρεσιών που εξυπηρετούν τις ανάγκες του κατά την κίνηση του οχήματος (υπηρεσίες δρομολογήσεως, πλοηγήσεως, προστασίας και πληροφορήσεως), με την χρήση περιορισμένου αρι?μού συσκευών και μόνο με την επεξεργασία των ενδείξεών τους, οι οποίες συσκευές τοπο?ετούνται: 1. Επί του οχήματος (συσκευές μετρήσεως και προστασίας) 2. Επί του οδηγού (συσκευές πληροφορήσεως) 3.
