Μέθοδος μετατροπής - ανακύκλωσης πολυμερικών απόβλητων υλικών παρουσία δότη - οξυγόνου, χημικής βάσης, μεταφορέα φάσης και καταλύτη (μεταλλοπορφυρινικό σύμπλοκο), ή άλλης χημικής ένωσης που μπορεί να μεταφέρει οξυγόνο με τελικό προϊόν πολυεποξείδια, πολυαιθέρες και πολυαλκοόλες. Η διαδικασία αυτή αναφέρεται σε μια πολυμερική ουσία είτε σε μίγμα πολυμερικών ουσιών που μας ενδιαφέρει και μπορούν να μετατραπούν - επανακυκλωθούν με τον τρόπο αυτό. Η μέθοδος χαρακτηρίζεται από την δυνατότητα ελέγχου της μετατροπής με την πάροδο του χρόνου είτε ως προς το υπόστρωμα (πολυμερές) είτε προς τον καταλύτη. Οι πολυαλκοόλες διαχωρίζονται από τους πολυαιθέρες και τα άλλα πολυμερή του μίγματος της αντίδρασης με την καταβύθησή τους σε διάλυμα χλωροφορμίου με βενζόλιο.
