Abstract

Invention refers to metallurgy, in particular to a vertical continuous casting of preparations mainly from aluminum and its alloys, namely to level control of metal in the crystallizer. The purpose of the invention is improvement of quality of molded preparations due to decrease of thickness of the cortical layer and refining of a granular structure. At casting of preparations liquid metal in the crystallizer is affected by the variable magnetic field stress level of which is increased at reduction and reduced at raise of the level of the metal meniscus from the preset value. Liquid metal is affected by the field of industrial frequency at a level of 1/3-1/2 altitudes of the crystallizer from its bottom end face. 1 Tab.
