Abstract

997,865. Harvesting machines. ALLISCHALMERS MANUFACTURING CO. Feb. 24, 1964 [Dec. 3, 1962], No. 45603/62. Heading A1F. The header 1 of a combine harvester is movable above a pivot 2 by a jack 4 and is characterized in that the pressure in the hydraulic circuit supplying the jack is controlled by a gas accumulator 11 having a diaphragm 13 whereby small changes of pressure in the hydraulic circuit due to vertical movements of the header are absorbed by the gas in the accumulator without substantial changes of pressure in the hydraulic circuit.
