Abstract

A substantially water-free anti-perspirant deodorant composition comprises (a) talc, (b) an anti-perspirant selected from aluminium chlorhydrate, aluminium chloride, aluminium sulphate, aluminium sodium lactate chlorhydrate, the corresponding zirconium salts and zinc sulphocarbolate, (c) kaolin, (d) zinc stearate, (e) magnesium carbonate, (f) hexachlorophene, (g) pigment and perfume, (h) mineral oil, and is further characterized in that the solid components each have a particle size of not greater than 10 microns. The composition is compacted into a cake using a pressure of 60-150 lb. per sq. inch. The talc comprises 40 to 70% and the mineral oil up to 10%, of the composition.
