995,518. Theatres; roof and floors; acoustic control. M. A. BOURBONNAIS. Dec. 23, 1963 [Jan. 9, 1963], No. 50631/63. Headings E1A, E1S and E1V. An hexagonal theatre is provided with a floor 6 made up from vertically adjustable prism-like elements a whereby the stepped rows 10 for the spectators, the stage, podium 11 and scenery elements 12 can be varied at will. Like considerations apply to the ceiling which can be modified for acoustic or scenic effects. Each element a consists of suitable wooden panels mounted on a reinforced metal framework which is adjusted by a lead screw and pinion mechanism operated by hand or by means of an electric motor, the elements being individually or collectively adjustable, see Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown).
