A beater mill for continuously processing paper-making stock or like fibrous materials comprises stator rings, serving in operation of the mill as exciter rings 7, each having a plurality of radial openings communicating with the inlet 1 of the mill housing, the openings defining unilaterally or bilaterally fixed beams arranged with a face of each beam adjacent a face of one of a plurality of vibratory members of rotor rings 3, serving in operation of the mill as resonance rings 6 and having radial openings therein for receiving the material from the stator rings, the openings in the rotor rings defining the vibratory members which are capable of undergoing bending ascillations in the path of movement of the vibratory members.
