Abstract

An acaricidal composition comprises as active ingredient a sulphenic acid derivative of formula <FORM:0994603/A5-A6/1> wherein x denotes -CO- or -SO2-, -R1 denotes an aryl, alkyl or cycloalkyl radical, optionally substituted by halogen atoms and/or nitro groups and/or alkyl radicals, R2-Y-denotes an aryl, alkyl, or cycloalkyl radical, optionally substituted by halogen atoms and/or nitro groups and/or alkyl radicals, or Y denotes -CO- or SO2- in which case R1 and R2 conjointly represent the bivalent radical of a cyclic hydrocarbon, and Hal denotes chlorine or fluorine, in admixture with a solid diluent or carrier or in admixture with an organic solvent and an emulsifying agent capable of producing a stable emulsion when diluted with water or in admixture with water containing an auxiliary solvent and/or an emulsifying agent. Specified forms are powders, pastes, emulsifiable concentrates, emulsions, granules, and wettable powders. Non-ionic and anionic wetting agents and dispersing agents are specified.
