Abstract

An aqueous coating composition for coating on a paper support comprises 15 to 23% titanium dioxide, 3.8-4.2% casein, 28.7 to 31.4% polystyrene and 44.3 to 49.2% styrene-butadiene rubber, of solids. Up to 6% carbon black may also be present. The ratio of butadiene to styrene may be 80: 20, 70: 30, 67: 33, 65: 35 and 60: 40.
