Abstract

A heat exchange medium comprises the eutectic composition of 57.6% potassium nitrate (3 mols.), 16.2% sodium nitrate (1 mol.) and 26.2% lithium nitrate (2 mols.), the percentages being by weight. Sodium and/or potassium chromate, e.g. 0.01 to 2% by weight, may be present.
