Abstract

Hexafluorobenzene is produced by pyrolysing CHFBr2 at 500-750 DEG C., then cooling and deacidifying the liquid product and finally separating the hexafluorobenzene. Other notable reaction products are bromopentafluorobenzene and pentafluorobenzene.
