989,235. Double twist devices. BARMAR MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. Feb. 8, 1962 [Feb. 8, 1961], No. 4902/62. Heading D1D. In a textile double twist device having a spindle 1, a storage disc 2 and a cylindrical, balloonrestricting casing 6 which may be rotary (as shown) or fixed, the casing extends in the axial direction beyond the storage disc 2 towards the base of the spindle, the casing having a lower transverse cover which may be totally closed, as shown at 8, or apertured as in Fig. 1 (not shown). An annular insert 9 is provided in the casing, the insert preferably having a guide groove therein continuing along the line of the radial outlet 5 in the storage disc 2. In a further form in which casing 6 rotates with the spindle 1, the floor 8 is replaced by ribs. Alternatively the floor 8 may be removed to allow the casing 6 to be fixedly mounted.
