A disc spring for vehicle clutches comprises a spring body 1 having a plurality of spring tongues 2 oriented radially or obliquely inwards or outwards the ends 3 of the spring tongues being provided with a thin layer of a wear-resistant material. The material may comprise a hard metal, e.g. tungsten, and is deposited by electro-erosion.
