987,697. Making magnetic heads. VECTRON ELECTRO-PHYSICS Ltd. Nov. 2, 1962 [Dec. 20, 1961], No. 24096/63. Divided out of 987,695. Heading B3A. [Also in Division G5] A magnetic head is made in the same general way as described in Specification 987,695, but the claims relate to the structure of Fig. 1, wherein each half-head has a half-core made up of a highly permeable strip 5a and a ferrite member 5b, the strips 5a being joined at the transducing gap 12 and the members 5b being united at a low-reluctance point remote from the gap 12.
