A device for guiding two photographic sheets into superposition and dispensing a processing liquid between them comprises a chamber for the processing liquid, with an exit passage at one end for the superposed sheets, two entry passages for the separate sheets inclined towards each other and adjacent said exit passage, the walls of the entry and exit passages exerting cbmpressive pressure on the sheet(s) passing through them, but capable of limited movement away from the sheet(s) to relieve the said pressure. The device 44 is shown in perspective in Fig. 2 and in section in Fig. 3,and is in the form of a framework made of a synthetic plastic. In the front part is a collapsible container 70 of processing liquid, which supplies a chamber 66. The two sheets enter through respective openings 76, 78, and are removed, in contact, through an opening 68 at the front of the nozzle section 62, the processing liquid thus being fed between them as they are brought into contact. The device is fitted into a camera as shown in Fig. 1, one (photosensitive) sheet 34 unrolling from a spool 36 to be exposed behind an opening in the inner rear wall 24 of the camera, and the other (print-receiving) sheet unrolling from a spool 74. Fig. 5 shows an enlarged view of the front or nozzle portion of the device. The parts of the nozzle defining exit opening 68, and also entry openings 76,78, are made of a resiliently deformable material, so as to facilitate the movement of the sheets through these openings. This deformation may be assisted by slits 84,86 in the nozzle,as shown. Slots 92,98 may also be cut in the nozzle, for still further flexibility of the wall portions defining the film passages, and may contain biasing springs. Figs. (not shown) 6,7,11, and 14 illustrate various ways of effecting this biasing. After the exposed sheet and copy sheet are pulled together out of the camera,they may be cut off by a knife blade 90 pivoted near the exit passage. Specification 684,592 is referred to.
