Abstract

986,828. Flare packs. HELICOPTER SALES Ltd. March 28, 1963 [May 29, 1962], No. 20593/62. Heading F3A. [Also in Division B8] A cartridge container comprises a pack body 1 having a number of side-by-side compartments 2, which are of a depth less than the overall depth of the body, and a pocket beneath the compartments to receive a cartridge projector 6, one end of a flexible cover strip 8 being fixed to one end 7 of the body and the other end of the strip having an extension which is detachably securable to the other end of the body. The strip 8 has a series of projections 9 which seat within the compartments 2 over each cartridge 3, and a hole 10 in the extension engages with a projection 11 on the body. A suitable cartridge projector 6 is described in Specification 986,827. The container is made of a waterproof material such as synthetic plastic or rubber, and the undersurface of the strip may be coated with a waterproof material to improve the seal.
