Abstract

An orally ingestible compressed tablet for the treatment of gastritis and abdominal distension comprises a viscous polysiloxane having a viscosity of at least 500 centistokes at 25 DEG C. homogeneously dispersed throughout a pharmacologically acceptable aluminium hydroxide. A viscosity-increasing agent or thickener, e.g. colloidal silica, may also be present.ALSO:An orally ingestible compressed tablet for the treatment of gastritis and abdominal distension comprises a viscous liquid polysiloxane having a viscosity of at least 500 centistokes at 25 DEG C. homogeneously dispersed throughout a pharmacologically acceptable aluminium hydroxide. A viscosity-increasing agent or thickener, e.g. colloidal silica, may also be present.
