A holloware receptacle, primarily for drink or food, comprises a rigid metal outer body open at both ends and a tight fitting detachable inner lining of synthetic plastic material which completely covers the inside of the metal casing so as to prevent contact between the metal and the contents. The plastic lining is preferably open at its top for dispensing purposes and open at its bottom for filling. The bottom opening is closed by a disc-shaped plastic stopper which may have an outer metal covering. Fig. 1 shows a condiment dispenser having a metal casing 1 and a plastic lining 2 integral with a nozzle 4. The plastic closure disc 6 has a metal base 7 with up-turned rim. In Fig. 2 the dish has a metal casing 11 and base 14 with a central hole 13. The plastic lining has a protuberance which is pressed into the hole 13 and has an upper rim which encloses the top edge of the metal casing. Fig. 3 shows a liquid container having a metal casing 21 and detachable plastic lining 22 which is pressed into position and retained by grooves 33, 24, 32. A pouring spout 26 is integral with the plastic lining and has a plastic lined metal cap 28 and a plastic filter device 27. At the bottom is a removable plastic stop 30 which engages in the recess 32 and which may have a metal base 31.
