The " Class II " or " Class III " metallic hydride material of Specification 984,267 is replaced by a " Class I " material which decomposes when heated above a certain temperature releasing gas, the reaction being irreversible, i.e. the gas is not reabsorbed on cooling. Examples are given and are then described as " Class I " materials in Specification 984,266.
