983,006. Temperature variable resistors. E. KIEBACK, and P. PETER. Jan. 24, 1962 [Feb. 10, 1961], No. 2628/62. Heading H1K. A resistance thermometer comprises a winding 10 wound on a hollow insulating former 15, located inside a thin metal case 2, the inside of the former 15 being filled with a metal pin 4 which seals the interior of the case 2. The pin 4 may be hollow and closed at its inner end, as shown, to permit entry of the ambient medium, or closed at its outer end, or solid, to provide different rates of response. The case 2 is sealed at its upper end by a heat resisting disc 9.
