Abstract
982,431. Books &c. A. N. MOORE. April 10, 1961 [Jan. 9, 1960], No. 867/60. Headings B6A and B6E. [Also in Division G5] A combined map and guide comprises a map c, d arranged with leading lines from its towns, road junctions or other places of interest, leading to parts e.g. 1 . . . 37, 38 . . . 74 in a margin Sm of the map or of a section of the map, and pages b carrying information related to these places and secured to the map so that any selected page b can be brought into alignment with the outer ends of the leading lines. The map c, d, as shown, is printed on the outward surfaces d so that when the map c, d is opened out the margin Sm is aligned with similar marking on a page a. When the map is in the folded state shown in Fig. 2 the outer surfaces may be marginally marked. In an embodiment with a map longitudinally folded and then folded in a concertina manner, each edge of the sections are marked (see Fig. 6, not shown) and it is attached to the outer edge of a booklet carrying information pages.
