Abstract
982,167. Capacitors. K. BUTTNER, and H. POENSGEN, [trading as STETTNER & CO.]. April 9, 1963 [Dec. 13, 1962], No. 14200/63. Addition to 937,395. Heading H1M. A variable trimmer capacitor of the kind described in the parent Specification comprises (Figs. 1, 2) a ceramic cylindrical stator 1 surmounted by a ceramic rotor disc 2 having a dependent spindle 3 extending through a bore of the stator. The top surface of the latter carries an electrode coating 8 while the upper surface of the rotor carries an electrode coating 7 conductively connected to the spindle. Recesses 9 diametrically disposed at the top of the stator receive bent-over lugs 4b of annular disc 4a surrounding a reduced diameter extension of the stator, which connect the stator electrode to a dependent extension 4c (Figs. 4, 5, not shown). A yoke 6 comprising a central bored disc 6a fitting over the rotor spindle has opposed dependent extensions 6b and lugs 6c bent into recesses 9a of the reduced diameter stator extension and is retained against such extension by a resilient steel or bronze disc or cup 5 (Figs. 6, 7, not shown) serving to connect the spindle to the yoke. The disc may have lugs engaging other lugs 6d of the yoke to prevent rotation.
