Abstract
A method of and apparatus for transferring data between a source and a destination where there are plural communication paths between the source and the destination are provided. The data is divided into m discrete units each containing a portion of the data. The m discrete units are transformed into m+n transformed data units where n>/=1. Each of said m+n transformed data units is transmitted from said source over the paths such that at least two paths are used for the transmission of the transformed data units from the source. The data is reconstructed from at least m transformed data units received at the destination.
