A ring 12, on which clothes or a towel can be hung, is retained in the horizontally projecting position by spring-urged plungers engaging aligned holes in the ends of the ring and in boss 11. On disengaging the plungers by pressing knob 15 towards fixing plate 10, the ring 12 may be folded flat against the wall. In another form, in which abutments are provided on the fixing plate to support the ring in the horizontal position, the ring must be rotated about the axis of the boss before it can be folded down.
