[Also in Divisions A4, F4 and H5] U-section bell-crank lever 25 is pivotally mounted at 14 in an inverted U-bracket 15 secured to a cooker hob surface 1, and is rotatable about axis 14 by axial movement of the block 9 along the screw-threaded end of rod 8 produced by rotation of handle 7, pins in block 9 engaging in slots in the lever 25. Slots 24 are provided in the side webs of the lever 25, and vertical slots 23 in the bracket 15, pins 21 welded to the tube 3 engaging in both sets of slots, such that pivoting of the lever produces vertical movement of the tube 3 within the guides 22, with consequent raising or lowering of the electrically-heated plate 2 with respect to the hob surface 1.
