A cramp for pressing together the parts of a window or other frame W comprises a worksupporting grill having rigid edge members 4, 5 projecting forwardly therefrom so that one side of the work frame can be placed against one of the edges and a pressure device including a pressure block 20 can be arranged to press against the side of the frame W remote from that which is placed against the edge member, the pressure device having a mounting by which it can be fixed to the grill in any one of a number of alternative positions. The grill includes a number of spaced vertical bars 10 of T-section and horizontal straps 12 fixed to the front faces of the bars. The edge members 4, 5 are of tubular cross-section and form an endless, enclosed, pressure-tight chamber having an inlet 29 for the supply of pressure and a number of outlets 27 which project at intervals from the members. The pressure block 20 is carried by a piston-rod which projects through the head of a cylinder 15, the latter having an airintake passage controlled by a finger-operated valve 21, the intake passage being connected to a selected pressure outlet 27 by a flexible hose 26. The cylinder is detachably held against longitudinal movement by a laterally projecting, rigid claw 30 having stepped, locating notches 31 which are adapted to engage over the side edge of a bar 10. A central cut-out portion allows the cylinder to overlie a strap 12.
