972,300. Shuttleless looms; weft cutting. MAQUINARIA TEXTIL DEL NORTE DE ESPANA S.A. March 29, 1961 [May 30, 1960], No. 11571/61. Heading D1E. A weft gripper 5, 6 enters the shed from one side and, on retraction, brings with it a selected weft 3a, from feeders 4a to 4d, at the other side of the shed, the weft is held at the gripper side of the shed by a suction nozzle 22 and is cut at both sides of the shed by fixed blades 13 and pivotal blades 16 arranged on the sley. The blades 16 are on a shaft 15 connected by links 17 to the frame so that as the sley moves forward the blades are pivoted.
