971,414. Radiographic apparatus. UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. May 15, 1963 [June 4, 1962], No. 21436/62. Addition to 966,877. Heading H5R. Radiographic apparatus of the type described in the parent Specification, has a further rotary radiation-arresting member. As shown, the two members 17, 18 are arranged to rotate about axes 21, 22 which are coplanar but not colinear, the point 23 of intersection of the axes lying on the axis of the apparatus containing an extended radiation source 16, an object 12 within a holder 11, an aluminium window 15 mounted on a screening member 13 and a radiographic plate 14. In operation, only radiation passing through point 23 reaches the plate due to the rotating discs, and thus serves as a virtual source of radiation.
