Abstract

971,274. Junction boxes. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CABLES Ltd. April 17, 1963 [April 19, 1962], No. 15313/62. Heading H2E. [Also in Division B8] The rear part 5, Fig. 1, of a joint-, terminal- or switch-fusebox is supported by its projecting rib 8 which rests on the arms 6 of a bracket, the box being retained in position on the bracket, by securing the lid 10 of the box to the rear part 5. At each end of the rib 8 is a projecting lip 9 which fits into a recess 7 in arm 6 of the bracket. When the lid 10 of the box is screwed on to the rear part 5, the projecting cars 11, on each side of the lid, enclose the lips 9 and their lower walls 12 overlap the bottoms of the arms 6. The bracket is shaped as in Fig. 2 to receive the rear part 5 which is semicircular. Two supporting brackets, one on each side of the box, may be used.
