969,536. Holding tools. H. JONES. Dec. 21, 1962 [Sept. 27, 1961], No. 34605/61. Heading B4W. A device for use in handling hot plates comprises a pair of wire frames each having an article supporting portion 11 adapted to afford support for the marginal portions of the plate and each having a handle portion 10, the frames being pivoted together with a common pivot pin 16 and so arranged that in use as the handle portions are gripped together the article supporting portions approach one another. The frames each comprise an upper and lower wire having spaced strips 17 secured thereto and slidable thereon to retain the frames in correct spaced relationship. In a modification the article supporting portions are L-shaped in plan so that in use they together form three sides of a square.
