A mount for a rectangular, bevelled spectacle lens comprises a resilient joining piece g connected directly to one end c of a lens rim and to a lever e pivoted to the other end of the rim, the lever being arranged to tension the resilient piece for drawing the rim into gripping contact with the lens.
