Abstract

966,507. Boot trees. VIC-TREE PRODUCTS (BIRMINGHAM) Ltd. Feb. 11, 1963 [March 17, 1962], No. 10309/62. Heading A3B. Boot trees comprise semi-cylindrical shaping members 10 normally forced apart by a spring 15 associated with a scissor-like member 14 pivoted at 13 to lugs 12 on brackets 11 attached to the members 10. The trees are locked in operative and non-operative positions respectively by engagement of notches 23 and 22 in a catch 20 mounted on the handle 18 of one limb of the member 14 with the edge of a slot 21 in the other handle. Springs 24 tend to urge the member 14 to non-operative position and locate the shaping members 10 relative to the member 14.
