964,279. Seed-sowing machines. USINES EDOUARD DE SAINT-HUBERT. Nov. 3, 1961 [Nov. 4, 1960], No. 39495/61. Heading A1D. A seed sowing machine comprises a shaft 3 on which are mounted a cylinder 7 with deep grooves 10 for large or medium sized seed and a cylinder 8 with shallow grooves 11 for small seeds, one or other of the cylinders being arranged to project into a box 1 through apertures in the side for the purpose of distributing seed, each cylinder being provided with a comb 18 or 19 which can be held against the corresponding wall of the box to prevent escape of seed. As shown the cylinders are fixed to the shaft 3 which is movable laterally and are separated by a non-rotatable closure device 4 having a lip 5 which co-operates with an adjustable base 17.
