Abstract

A heat-sealable transparent wrapping material comprises a coated transparent base of regenerated cellulose film or a lowly-substituted alkyl or hydroxyalkyl cellulose, characterized in that the coating containing either esters of cellulose or copolymers of vinylidene chloride, also contains a relatively small proportion of an amide wax as a slip and antiblocking agent therefor. The proportion of amide wax in the coating may not exceed 2% by weight of the coating. The amide wax may have a melting point of not less than 110 DEG C.
