Abstract

An ointment-type composition is prepared by forming a homogenous mixture of rosin, a natural wax, e.g. beeswax, or paraffin durum, molten tallow and powdered sulphur, e.g. by forming a melt, allowing the mixture to solidify, e.g. by cooling and mechanically working the product which may subsequently be used in a plaster produced by placing the molten mixture on a cotton sheet, covering it with cotton gauze and affixing the cotton sheet to a zinc oxide plaster after the composition has solidified.
