Abstract

A hinge system for a door (22) comprising a spigot (84) protruding from a headrail (15) and a sleeve (88) recessed within the door (22). The spigot (84) passes through the sleeve (88) and is formed with a shoulder (92,93) which engages the undersurface (94,95) of the sleeve (88). This allows relative rotation of positive vertical engagement. The shoulder (92,93) and undersurface (94,95) of the sleeve (88) are inclined so that relative rotation results in relative vertical movement. <IMAGE>
